Virtual Candlelight Vigil
April 26th at 6:00PM on Zoom

Help us remember victims by attending Virtual Candlelight Vigil where community members around the state can light a candle, or request to light a virtual candle, in support of those that have been victimized by crime.  The event will include music and stories from survivors who will share how their lives have been impacted by crime, acknowledge how it has affected their lives, and share ways in which services and support networks helped them.

Hosted by the Hawai’i Department of Public Safety, the Crime Victim Compensation Commission, the Hawai’i Paroling Authority, the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, and the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Coalition.

Virtual Candlelight Vigil

There will be a virtual candlelight vigil where community members around the state can light a candle, or request to light a virtual candle, in support of those that have been victimized by crime.  The event will include music and stories from survivors who will share how their lives have been impacted by crime, acknowledge how it has affected their lives, and share ways in which services and support networks helped them.

Victim Wish Board

A Victim Wish Board will be running all week on the website. Victims/survivors, advocates, and supporters will have the opportunity to submit and post a wish for a victim/survivor they know. 

Videos and Resources

Local victim service providers will share short informational videos and other resource about victims’ rights and support services provided to victims/survivors in the community. These will be posted on the website throughout the week.
